As I was travelling back from the St. Maarten in the French West Indies to Denver, I got the opportunity to sit alongside a really interesting guy who definitely followed his heart. When I asked Eli Robertson, how did he become involved in so many different businesses, his response was simple & ever so wise. He said:
“I like eating so a started a restaurant, I liked drinking so a started a bar, I liked holidays so I bought a holiday home, I liked fishing so I built a boat and I liked skiing so I started a ski store business.”
He was quick to point out that not everything he has done has worked out but he must be doing something right, the ski store is 35 years old.
